An outpost is a small, remote station. It is a place to seek refuge, reorient, and find your footing before continuing on. That's what I'm here for.

Madison — your therapist, warm and approachable

Who I Work With & How I Can Help

I work with people who have been carrying a lot for a long time.

Maybe you're successful on the outside but constantly second-guessing yourself. Maybe you're the person everyone depends on, yet you rarely let others see how much you're struggling. Maybe you've spent years pushing through anxiety, trauma, perfectionism, shame, or overwhelming responsibilities because you didn't know another way.

Whatever brought you here, you don't have to keep carrying it alone.

Together, we'll get to the root of what's keeping you stuck, quiet the inner critic, and build practical skills you can use between sessions. My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I believe healing happens when we combine self-understanding with meaningful action, helping you create a life that feels more connected, purposeful, and authentically yours.

Madison Castro, LCSW — therapist at The Outpost

Hi! I am Madison

Madison Castro, LCSW

Early in my career, I worked with men in addiction recovery and adults struggling with anxiety and perfectionism. While their stories were different, many carried the same burden: the feeling that they weren't enough. Today, I help people untangle anxiety, trauma, shame, and self-criticism so they can build lives that feel more connected, purposeful, and true to who they are.

Fun fact: For years, my answer to “What's your favorite hobby?” was simply: trying new things. Whether that's learning about a different culture, cooking something I've never made before, or finding a new place to explore, curiosity has always been one of my favorite ways to connect with the world.
