Background
Early in my career, I worked in two very different settings: a men’s addiction recovery program and an anxiety & perfectionism private practice.
Although different, in both places I met people who felt like they weren’t enough.
People who believed their mistakes were too serious, their accomplishments didn’t count for much, or their past would always define them. People who worked incredibly hard yet still felt like they were falling short.
Those experiences taught me a great deal about the pressures people carry. I came to understand the weight of blue-collar demands, white-collar expectations, family responsibilities, personal standards, and the often relentless voice in our own heads telling us we should be doing more.
What I learned is that many of our struggles make sense when we understand the story behind them. Anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, burnout, trauma, addiction, relationship difficulties, and self-doubt often aren’t signs that something is wrong with you. They’re signs that you’ve been carrying a lot for a long time.
I started this practice for the people who keep showing up. The people who keep trying. The people who push through, take care of others, and shoulder more than most people realize.
My approach is warm, practical, and down-to-earth. I believe therapy should be a place where you can be honest about what’s working, what’s not, and where you want to go from here. All without judgment or pressure to be someone you’re not.
Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, trauma, relationship challenges, or simply feeling exhausted from carrying the weight of it all, I’d be honored to help you find your different way forward.
Outside of Work
I’ve always loved exploring.
Sometimes that looks like camping, hiking, or reading in a hammock. Sometimes it means trying a new food, learning about a different culture, or saying yes to something new.
I grew up in Oregon and still find myself drawn to green trees, fresh air, and rainy days. Nature has always been one of the places where I feel most grounded.
When I’m home, you’ll usually find me spending time with my husband and kids. They’re my favorite people to adventure with, whether we’re exploring somewhere new or just enjoying an ordinary day together.
And while I wouldn’t call myself a gourmet chef, every so often I’ll spend the day in the kitchen because I’ve decided I absolutely need to learn how to make something from scratch.
